Frequently Asked Questions
Account & Registration
Do I need an account to read?
No. All published chapters are freely accessible without an account. An account is only required to write, like content, or save books to a library.
How do I create an account?
You can register with a Google account or with an email address and password. Both options are available on the sign-in page.
Can I change my username or handle?
Yes. Your display name and handle can be updated at any time from the Profile page. Your handle appears in your public profile URL and cannot be the same as another user's.
How do I delete my account?
Account deletion is available in Settings. Deleting your account permanently removes your personal data. If you have published chapters, those remain on the platform with anonymised authorship so readers who purchased access are not affected.
Writing & Publishing
What is a project?
A project is a writing workspace — it can be a novel, a short story collection, a serial, or any long-form work. Each project contains chapters that you can draft, organise, and publish independently.
Who can see my chapters?
Draft chapters are private to you. Chapters marked Review are visible only to collaborators you have invited. Published chapters are visible to all readers. You can change a chapter's status at any time.
Can I collaborate with other writers?
Private collaboration with reviewers is coming soon. Reviewers will be able to read chapters in Review status and leave inline comments. Full co-authoring is planned for a future release.
Is my writing saved automatically?
Yes. The editor saves to your device automatically as you type. Changes are synced to the server in the background. You can keep writing even without an internet connection — your work will sync when connectivity is restored.
What export formats are supported?
You can export a project or individual chapters as plain text (.txt), Markdown (.md), or Word (.docx) from the project workspace. PDF and EPUB export are planned for a future release.
How do I schedule a chapter?
When publishing, choose a future publish date. The chapter is considered scheduled until that date, then becomes visible automatically.
Reading
Is reading free?
Yes, all published chapters are currently free to read. A paid chapter system (using platform Coins) is planned for a future release and will be an optional feature for authors.
Can I read offline?
Yes. Once you have opened a chapter, it is cached on your device. On your next visit you can read it without an internet connection.
How do I find new books?
Use the Discover page to browse all projects that have at least one published chapter, ordered by most recently active. Search and category filtering are coming soon.
Can I save books to read later?
A personal Library feature is planned. You will be able to bookmark projects and receive notifications when new chapters are published.
Platform & Safety
What is the AI usage disclosure?
Authors can voluntarily declare the level of AI involvement in their writing: Human-written, AI-assisted, or AI-written. This disclosure is displayed on the project page. Authors are trusted to self-declare honestly.
How do I report a problem or offensive content?
Use the Contact Us page to reach the support team. Comment reporting directly from the reading interface is coming soon.
Is my data private?
Your draft chapters, notes, and profile are private by default. See the Privacy Policy for full details on how data is stored and used.
